INFLUENCER INTERVIEW : FASHIONABLE FOODS

For the people who don’t know about you, Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?

I started as a Food blogger being a self trained Chef and eventually got into Products and Movie Review writing, Lifestyle blogging, Content Editing and Recipe Improvisation. People now know me as a Social Influencer. Besides all this I am also a certified Personal Nutritionist. They all know me as U K in the Blogosphere and I am working hard to make U K an Influencer brand.

Every website has a story behind it. What was yours? What was the motivation behind starting this Blog?

I have wanted to be a Chef since childhood, which was never appreciated in the family and I was never allowed to take that as a profession. After settling down in life, I decided to fulfill my wish. Food is a passion for me so a website was necessary to showcase my skills and that is how fashionablefoods.net came into existence which later changed to fashionablefoodz.com. My motivation has always been the readers who have given me fantastic response and showered love and affection  on me and my work by way of their comments.

Do you ever get stuck when writing a blog? What do you do then?

Yes, many a time, mostly due to calls coming in between. The link is broken and it becomes painful to reach back to the same levels of concentration. I prefer writing past midnight on weekdays as I get the peace I want and can focus on writing and completing a Blog post with quality content.

If there was one thing that you feel makes your blog stand out, what would that be?

I think it is the simple style of writing, which I have adapted over the years and which strikes a chord with a new reader. The reason most readers come back to my blog is purely because I am able to relate to what they can easily read and understand without straining too much on the jargons and words many use to impress the readers.

If you had to give three crazy advice to budding bloggers, what would that be?

(ha ha) I would never do that to anyone. I am myself learning from everyone in the Blogosphere. I can only give my 2 cents by saying that “Be honest in writing, keep your language simple so that people can relate to your story and always dare to experiment without fearing failures.”

Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

I don’t promote my blog as a whole. I have earned my rankings by promoting my posts on twitter and Google+. I hold on to my readers, as they are the ones who make your blog popular by returning back the next day, every time. I spend time on Twitter interacting with them and I feel Twitter is coming up as a good source of announcing new posts as you write them.

What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of blogging?

For me, my readers comments and feedback matters most and that’s the gratifying aspect of blogging for me.

And Influencer Marketing – what it holds for bloggers?

In case bloggers want to get in the mainstream Influencer marketing, they should focus on quality content, develop a regular reader base and then get into this. Companies are fast to pick up and also quick enough to drop Influencers depending on their performance.

Engaging in Influencer marketing is fruitful, but most of the bloggers feel there are some characteristic problems while engaging with brands. How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?

I personally have not had any major problem with brands because I am transparent in writing and promoting a brand as an Influencer and fine tune my strategy by discussing the blueprint with the concerned brand. Honesty always helps understand what the brand wants out of you as an Influencer. Brands understand that we Influencers are Trustworthy and Engaging, thought leaders and our say has lasting impact on the readers minds, so brands never demand anything out of the defined lines from any Influencer.

INFLUENCER INTERVIEW : SHIFA MERCHANT (SASSYSHIFSAYS.IN)

For the people who don’t know about you, Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?

"A force of Fashion & a Bollywood junkie by day who transforms into "Lara Croft, Tomb Raider" by night.. An adventurous lioness by heart who doesn't always bite!! Blogging is super special to me because it lets my inner DIVA out by allowing me to style my way into your hearts & lives and also bring to you my take on so many different topics like fashion, lifestyle, beauty, travel, food etc. My blog is a reflection of my inner self, and I thrive to bring the real girl charm through my styling and articles. Welcome and dive into my world!!! Let's get SASSY!"

Every website has a story behind it. What was yours? What was the motivation behind starting this Blog?

I always had a knack for words and an eye for detail, be it in any field. Hence, that drove me to give up my job as a Bollywood film marketer and take a plunge into full time blogging as I knew right then that the universe had these plans for me. With every passing day and blog post, I knew for a fact, I was made for this or rather my blogging was destined. Oh and having a professional photographer cum partner, who excels at both was just an icing on the cake.

Do you ever get stuck when writing a blog? What do you do then?

Well, honesty that’s really rare, because the very particular and the hands on side of me doesn’t let me rest in peace until I have the perfect output for the day.

If there was one thing that you feel makes your blog stand out, what would that be?

Well, there are two things actually – Real Girl info and my take on things for sure.

If you had to give three crazy advice to budding bloggers, what would that be?

All of the below mentioned are nothing but honest –
1)    Be 100% sure of starting your blog as this doesn’t always lead you to bump into pretty gals.
2)    Make sure your earning more than your spending and you will be just fine.
3)    There is something called as 3 am tweeting and snapchatting, yes it exists.

Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

Yes of course in todays day and age, we all need to promote, cross promote and market the blog which drives us. I usually prefer collaborating with brands that stand in unison with the brand ethos of Sassy Shif Says. Keeping your updated blog articles links circulated in the bloggers affiliation programs and platforms like Blogmint and keeping your followers and readers intrigued with new and crisp content in itself helps you promoting.

What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of blogging?

It definitely has to be the respect and a familiarity factor which comes along with my blogging world. Be it fashion, beauty, food or lifestyle, people know me because of my blogging and nothing is more fulfilling than this.

And Influencer Marketing – what it holds for bloggers?

This is the present and the future!!! Influencer marketing is a win-win for both the bloggers and brands to connect with the right influencing bloggers to further their reach and maximize the possibilities of buyer conversions.

Engaging in influencer marketing is fruitful but most of the bloggers feel there are some characteristic problems while engaging with brands. How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?

That is exactly where thorough research and knowledge of any field comes at play and really handy. In this case, talking about blogging I have till date never faced any issues or problems pertaining to brands, only because I prefer to keep everything on mail and even sign an agreement with the respective brand for extreme clarity. A lot depends on the approach a blogger takes. And in any case, one needs to have a very professional approach towards the blogging endeavor. This is the only way to have fruitful and hassle free collaborations.
