For the people who don’t know about you, Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
My Name is Aarthi. I am the author of the famous food blog Yummy Tummy (www.yummytummyaarthi.com). My Husband Name is Satheesh, he is my motivator, he is my ultimate food critic, he supports me a lot, We both work together on the recipes, he motivates me to try new recipe. On his free time he works with me on my website and helps in creating videos and stuffs like that. I have a cute little one, called Maha she is now 1.5 years old. She fills most of my time and keeps me busy all through the day. I have finished B.sc Maths in WCC college, Nagercoil. As soon as I finished my college I got a job in a Research based company. I worked as a research analyst for 3 years, but my love for food and cooking kept on increasing, so I took a brave move and quit my job to continue my passion for cooking and blogging. I started a small baking business where I started to make and sell cakes, cookies and stuffs like that. Now blogging is my full time job.
Every website has a story behind it. What was yours? What was the motivation behind starting this Blog?
I came to know about blog when I was working. I used to make dishes and take to work. My colleagues started asking me the recipes, and some of them even told me to start my own food blog so I can share my recipes with others. So I did some research on google and started a blog. First I started it as a diary to save my recipes, but now it has turned into my career. That’s how it started.
Do you ever get stuck when writing a blog? What do you do then?
I have never met that situation so far. This is because I plan my recipes and the write up before hand. I write them in a scheduled way.
If there was one thing that you feel makes your blog stand out, what would that be?
The reason why my blog is loved by most of the people is because I share recipes with step by step pictures so even the person who doesn't know ABC in cooking will find it user friendly and easy to understand.
If you had to give three crazy advice to budding bloggers, what would that be?
For New blogger, there is only one advice I can give, just don’t start a blog for earning money. If you have a passion towards cooking, just start a blog to share your knowledge with the world. And keep on blogging and blogging and blogging. Never give up. One day you will succeed in that.
Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
NO I don’t do paid promotion for my blog.
What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of blogging?
Getting to know each other and always staying connected with the world. Finding new fried across the world. Such a blessings.
And Influencer Marketing – what it holds for bloggers?
Just pick the right brand and right niche that suits you and your blog. Just don’t focus on everything. Keep track on the right thing and you are in business.
Engaging in influencer marketing is fruitful but most of the bloggers feel there are some characteristic problems while engaging with brands. How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?
I normally don’t work with brand which I use in my day today life. So I can share it confidently. And if I don’t like any products I don’t work with them.

INFLUENCER INTERVIEW : DHEERAJ SHARMA (DEVILONWHEELS.COM)

For the people who don't know about you, Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?

I am Dheeraj Sharma, an Avid Traveler, a Day - Night Dreamer and a Passionate Lover of Himalayas who has a high zest for driving whilst exploring new places in Himalayas & sharing back those Himalayan Travel experiences with the other fellow Travelers... I am in love with Spreading Smiles in Himalayas through DoW Causes & currently enjoying life as Happy Traveling Soul at  DoW Community.

Lately, I found that using your passion to dive into the unknown and testing your limits of soul and body really boosts your individuality. Since then I never looked back. Frequently, I get on my wheels to hunt this unsatisfied hunger of rejuvenating myself in the endless beauty which Himalayas does offer to us. While traveling to Himalayas, I feel I went through a kind of metamorphosis that led to my reincarnation. I am working hard to materialize the vision & mission of DoW Travel Community with the support of all other devils of our community.

Can read more at: http://devilonwheels.com/about/

Every website has a story behind it. What was yours? What was the motivation behind starting this Blog?

Down, out, alone and almost surrendered to the most difficult phase of his life, devil suddenly thought of pursuing his passion of driving to start again @ life, take it a step further and explore if nature has the magic that can save him and turn into the person he was.

Himalayas always had a history of being associated to peace and calmness, so devil decided to have a treatment called "Nirvana @ Himalayas". He went to find the answer to the questions which haunts him every moment, top of the list being "Me or Devil??" The answer still remains elusive (conclusive to devil :)) but devil is getting closer to the same as it gave birth to DoW blog.

Do you ever get stuck when writing a blog? What do you do then?

Yes, and what I do is skip the article for the day and come back with fresh more meaningful content in next window

If there was one thing that you feel makes your blog stand out, what would that be?

I will say I concentrate more on enjoying travel than on blog. So travel come first for me and it actually helps blog stand out too in an indirect form by complementing it. Since, the ideology behind DoW is betterment of Himalayans or Himalayas, it has more to offer to everyone than running around any competition with other sites and following SEO mantras. I prefer natural writing over SEO friendly articles

If you had to give three crazy advice to budding bloggers, what would that be?

Blog out of passion not pressure, Be consistent in producing content and have patience, Follow your heart for blogging than following the theories of money making or SEO guidelines.

Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

No, I do not have money to fund promotions J ... Whatever and wherever it is, it stands without any promotion or activities.

What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of blogging?

It helps me live my passion each day of my life

And Influencer Marketing - what it holds for bloggers?

Opportunities to grow themselves and earn money too hand-in-hand

Engaging in influencer marketing is fruitful but most of the bloggers feel there are some characteristic problems while engaging with brands. How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?

Well, as I said, I do mostly for passion not with an ideology of earning something of it. Financials are not controlled by me rather handed over to someone else so I do not have any pressure to work on my ways only. Hence, mostly I end up out of run chase with brands as I follow things my way else no way. Whichever brands I have engaged in such terms, they respect my ideology and hard work put into any blog post. So, whosoever gets to the second phase after initial shortlisting, we both are good to more together about the assignment else leads does not come to discussion phase itself.

Responsible Blogging : Copyright and Sources Declaration

The blogging world has its own unwritten regulations around ethics and etiquettes that bloggers must follow. Amongst them, citing source and author info is one of the most important laws of blogging which even has legal implications.
Copyright Issue
Copyright is a legal right of an individual who produced the original content; be it an editorial content, an image or a video. Copyright also grants the individual the right to legally distribute that content as per their discretion. Since, a lot of amateur bloggers who are not aware of the implications, tend to use the copyrighted material. It is legally as well as ethically not right to use someone else’s piece without prior information and consent.
Also, if bloggers want to monetize their blogs through Google Adsense, they should always stay away from using copyrighted stuff, because it prohibits content that is subject to copyright and can deactivate your account permanently.

Fair Usage
If you find online content which seems worth criticizing, commenting, reporting or worth research, then you should always seek permission to do so. Also, if you share someone else’s piece on your blog be sure to give them the due credit by mentioning the source and the name of the author.
Linkback Code of Conduct
Since, social media is all about driving engagement, a lot of bloggers share opinions of other bloggers in communities and on their own blogs. It is always suggested that you should give a link back to the original piece and mention the source of inspiration in your blog. It may convince the original content creator in believing your intentions.

Blogging Ethics
Last but not the least is when you cite and link to another blogger's work in one of your blog posts, be certain to add a value to the information provided by your source rather than simply copying and pasting it.

DMAI CXO Roundtable - Powered by Blogmint

Blogmint, India’s 1st automated marketplace that connects brands and bloggers, backed by TO THE NEW Ventures has joined hands with Association of Data-Driven Marketing & Advertising (DMAi) to launch first-of-its kind executive session on the adoption of Influencer Marketing in India.

The sessions are built to provide an informative and interactive platform for businesses of all sizes to learn and unlearn about Influencer Marketing, which is the fastest growing channel for online customer acquisition and an effective way for brands to generate returns on social as reported in AdWeek recently.

Blogmint and DMAi conducted the first session in Radisson Hotel in Delhi and second session in Blue Frog, Mumbai earlier this month and plan to continue this exercise in various parts of the country to spread the message of Influencer Marketing.

Today, brand loyalty comes after a fair assessment of the brand, word of mouth feedback and first hand experiences. Mr. Irfan Khan, CEO, Blogmint stated, “As Influencer Marketing empowers brands to leverage the power of word of mouth through influential bloggers and content producers with significant number of fans and followers on social media, it is increasingly becoming an integral part of brand’s marketing mix. However, there’s a big gap between brands and social influencers on how to collaborate successfully and responsibly. Through this initiative, we wish to bridge this gap between businesses and influencers.”

“We remain committed to advancing the practice of response driven marketing through such initiatives. There is a library of rich content for our CxO roundtables that the industry can benefit from. We are thankful to Blogmint who have partnered in curating the sessions for the influencer marketing roundtables”said Shelly Singh, Director & COO, DMAi.

These Roundtable discussions enlightened the brands not only about the importance of Influencer Marketing in today's scenario but also on how an Influencer marketing automated platform is making it easy for brand marketers to target their specific influencers. With the rise of Social influencers not only blogging but also Micro-Blogging is storming the overall Influencer marketing scenario in a big way. Not only blooggers but brands depends on Instagrammers, Twitteratis for Micro-Blogging. Their influence is short lived but has much larger reach than any blog.

We are proud to Power DMAI CXO Roundtable and will like to carry the baton of Influencer Marketing to the brand side. Till that time follow @theblogmint .
