Blogtobollywood aka b2b is a brainchild of Umesh and Anuj, where the focus is to provide latest information of Bollywood to their readers. They have a very small team and follow a very open culture in terms of ideas and contribution. None of them work full time on b2b yet make sure that they bring bollywood to their readers without fail. Here they share some keen insights into Blogging, business and everything Influencer Marketing :

For the people who don’t know about you, Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
Well, I am an engineer turned into web entrepreneur, with interest in digital marketing, social media marketing,
Blogtobollywood is a Bollywood website, that tries to bring out quality Bollywood content to the right audience, helping the industry and audience.

Every website has a story behind it. What was yours? What was the motivation behind starting this Blog?
Umesh, my co-founder, had a keen interest in Bollywood media, his crazy affection, and accurate box office predictions impressed me. I had a more general interest in making a good web presence. So we united and started blog to Bollywood.
Things have changed during the last 2.5 years, but the 'filmy' motivation is yet the same.

Do you ever get stuck when writing a blog? What do you do then?
The bad thing about getting struck is we try to pressurize ourself, this kills the creativity. I try to loosen up on the pressure by taking a break, watching movies, or just chill out with friends.

If there was one thing that you feel makes your blog stand out, what would that be?
The accurate predictions for Bollywood movies. The accuracy has been spot on and our forte.

If you had to give three crazy advice to budding bloggers, what would that be?
Be creative
Have Confidence in your work
Invest Time

Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Social media is the easiest way to promote things. No we generally don't promote ourself, but once in a while we tend to look at social media for promotional needs as our audience is present there :)

What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of blogging?
The most gratifying aspect is the pleasure of sharing.

And Influencer Marketing – what it holds for bloggers?
People look up to bloggers for a familiar face and sense of trust in their opinion. And Influence is all about how much people believe in you. I think, this is what blogging has for marketing as an area. Bloggers can influence there audience into perspective customers.
It takes skill, it gives money but remember never compromise on your integrity.

Engaging in influencer marketing is fruitful but most of the bloggers feel there are some characteristic problems while engaging with brands. How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?

The most common scenario which happens is when a blogger has a different audience to offer than what can be the prospective customer for the brand. It can be a lag on blogger's understanding for his audience, a brands' inappropriate targeting, or just money burn by an agency in between. The result is either blogger hampers his image or brand does not get what it needs.

Our experience with Bollywood brands has been good so far, though, at some times, the brands don't understand what it takes to execute. But this is why they seek us :)
