My
Name is Aarthi. I am the author of the famous food blog Yummy Tummy (www.yummytummyaarthi.com).
My Husband Name is Satheesh, he is my motivator, he is my ultimate food critic,
he supports me a lot, We both work together on the recipes, he motivates me to
try new recipe. On his free time he works with me on my website and helps in
creating videos and stuffs like that. I have a cute little one, called Maha she
is now 1.5 years old. She fills most of my time and keeps me busy all through
the day. I have finished B.sc Maths in WCC college, Nagercoil. As soon as I
finished my college I got a job in a Research based company. I worked as a
research analyst for 3 years, but my love for food and cooking kept on
increasing, so I took a brave move and quit my job to continue my passion for
cooking and blogging. I started a small baking business where I started to make
and sell cakes, cookies and stuffs like that. Now blogging is my full time job.
Every website has a story behind it. What was yours? What
was the motivation behind starting this Blog?
I
came to know about blog when I was working. I used to make dishes and take to
work. My colleagues started asking me the recipes, and some of them even told
me to start my own food blog so I can share my recipes with others. So I did
some research on google and started a blog. First I started it as a diary to
save my recipes, but now it has turned into my career. That’s how it started.
Do you ever get stuck when writing a blog? What do you do
then?
I have never met that situation so far. This is because I
plan my recipes and the write up before hand. I write them in a scheduled way.
If there was one thing that you feel makes your blog stand
out, what would that be?
The reason why my blog is loved by most of the people is because I
share recipes with step by step pictures so even the person who doesn't know
ABC in cooking will find it user friendly and easy to understand.
If you had to give three crazy advice to budding bloggers,
what would that be?
For New blogger, there is only one advice I can give, just
don’t start a blog for earning money. If you have a passion towards cooking,
just start a blog to share your knowledge with the world. And keep on blogging
and blogging and blogging. Never give up. One day you will succeed in that.
Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work
best for you and why?
NO I don’t do paid promotion for my blog.
What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of
blogging?
Getting to know each other and always staying connected
with the world. Finding new fried across the world. Such a blessings.
And Influencer Marketing – what it holds for bloggers?
Just pick the right brand and right niche that suits you
and your blog. Just don’t focus on everything. Keep track on the right thing
and you are in business.
Engaging in influencer marketing is fruitful but most of
the bloggers feel there are some characteristic problems while engaging with
brands. How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?
I normally don’t work with brand which I use in my day
today life. So I can share it confidently. And if I don’t like any products I
don’t work with them.
