Q1: For the people who don’t know about you, Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
A: I am interested in two things: reading and writing. Reading keeps me updated about what is going around in the world. Writing gives me the power to express my opinion about things that I like or dislike, When you blend both these things: IT BRINGS OUT THE BLOGGER IN ME. That is who I am. I like to express my opinion and aware people.

My blog, is a Multi-Author platform, where various authors (from different parts of countries) have expertise in various writing field or space share their views & opinion on their personal experience & research. Here, readers could find only unbiased stories & reviews around maximum domains like Entertainment, Life Style, Travel, Health, Finance, Automobile and more.

Our primary motto is to maintain the integrity of our blog stories and opinions. We are the voice of several individuals and organizations that utilize our platform as an effective alternative for mainstream media.

Q2: Every website has a story behind it. What was yours? What was the motivation behind starting this Blog?
A: I still remember that day, I was in Standard VIII, I just started taking English tuition's. First advice my English tutor gave me was to read morning newspaper daily. I continued following that and I even read a lot nowadays. After being a silent reader for a while I felt the urge to express my opinions about what is happening around me. So, I started blogging and expressing. And after a while I wanted to have my own platform to do that, thus I started News Patrolling.

Q 3. Do you ever get stuck when writing a blog? What do you do then?
A: Many times. Right and wrong are just perspectives. When you write about something you have to stay neutral. That can be challenging at times. What I do in such scenarios is to listen to my heart and write what comes up.

Q 4: If there was one thing that you feel makes your blog stand out, what would that be?
A: Honesty. You will find nothing but honest opinions in my blogs.

Q 5: If you had to give three crazy advices to budding bloggers, what would that be?
A: Be daring, write on relevant topics and give honest views.

Q 6: Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
A: Promotion works only when your topics are crowd pullers. My biggest source of promotion is the choice of topics. I write about things that generate interest and encourage online visitors to read through. Apart from this, I know a few SEO tricks too!

Q 7: What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of blogging?
A: Freedom to express yourself, to write about things that prick your mind. That is the beauty of blogging.

Q 8: And Influencer Marketing – what it holds for bloggers?
A: Our primary mission is to seek ‘journalistic truth’ through our blogs, so, influencer marketing is secondary to us. It can be a byproduct of our endeavors; for example, when we let our readers know about a really good product, it would primarily be our mission to seek out the truth, although it will also act as an influencer.

Q 9: Engaging in influencer marketing is fruitful but most of the bloggers feel there are some characteristic problems while engaging with brands. How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?
A: Yes, agree. Big one is financial issue. It is very painful when Brands don’t make payment on time. And even, some don’t make after the work get done (they keep giving lame excuses & nothing).
But, from when, I get associated with BLOGMINT (As per to my knowledge, this is first only platform which is providing monetary benefits to bloggers), I never faced any financial issue. Even, it becomes easy to know which Brand has which type of requirement (like blog post, vlog, tweets, insta post etc).

So, would love to say BIG THANKS TO BLOGMINT to address the pain of bloggers.

Rise Of Social Influencers In Content Marketing

Social Influencers are the one who have huge following on their social media accounts and carry power of influencing others within their social sphere. If you look at the term  “Social Influencer” on Google Trends then you will notice that  interest around this topic has picked up an exponential growth since the  mid of 2015.

With the rise of social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter, companies all over the world finally gave into the fact that commerce had switched from its traditional places on radio and TV into digital world.

Who is A Social Influencer?

Someone with thousands of followers on social media, working in their categories, or are truly knowledgeable and authentic having the potential to introduce your brand, increase brand awareness or influence buying decision of their audience can be called as social influencer.

Why Is Content Marketing Important?

Content marketing represents the gap between what brands produce and what consumers actually want. An influencer generates word of mouth marketing for your product far more effectively than conventional advertising.

The best part of influencer marketing is that your brand promotion does not appear like a normal advertisement. The people who are going to promote your brand are adept at engaging audiences with their content. Your brand and its features are made to reach their followers in a more convincing manner which grants you assured back-links.

"Marketing is telling the world you're a rock star. Content Marketing is showing the world you are one."

How Brands Are Choosing Influencers Over Celebrities?

Many brands like LeEco, Amazon, Shoppersstop, Vogue, Craftsvilla, etc have involved social influencers in reaching out to their target audience. Each social influencer comes with built-in analytics that are far more precise than the results that one might receive from a celebrity endorsement.

Using an automated influencer marketing platform like Blogmint, brands can see number of followers of an influencer, no. of views generated on a content piece created by influencer and also their reach. They have better transparency instead of relying on the word of a celebrity’s agent.
With all of the above in mind, more businesses than ever are moving into the world of social influencers and away from traditional celebrity endorsements.

The best part about this movement is that social influencers are within the budget of even the smallest startup, meaning that a new company has the same leverage that an international brand has to compete.

Currently influencer marketing is so cost-effective that marketers can try it out with different influencers, gather analytics, and become more sophisticated buyers. There has never been a better time to get started.

So, Register on and leverage the power of social influencers!

Influencer Marketing For Twitteratis

Twitter is an extremely powerful platform, but like everything in marketing, it’s all about targeting the right people. Twitterati is defined as the active group of users of the site Twitter with large amounts of followers and daily involvement. An example of twitterati are the people who respond immediately on Twitter to a news item. Every market you work in has a demographic of customer you want to reach. When you’re at square one, without any established following or audience, it means there is a lot of work to do to get your business where it needs to be in order to compete in the market place. Finding the right influencers and building relationships is hugely important for your brand. It will help you reach a wider audience, target ideal customers, and create more trust between you and your social following. Social media marketing when done right can lead to more customers, more traffic and more conversions. The idea of social media marketing is fresh thing today. The social media resources include blogs, video sharing websites, and community websites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Flickr and many more.

Blogmint is Asia's leading automated platform that connects brands and influencers. Blogmint helps brands identify and engage targeted influencers to create powerful social and video content. Blogmint offers transparent pricing and real time campaign analytics for every piece of content. Get hard ROI and measure the impact down to the dollar. With more than 35,000 influencers to engage with, your next influencer marketing campaign is just a click away.

“To work with influencers requires engagement and creativity from you. Once you find your influencers, you will need a plan to engage them.” –Evy Wilkins

Steps to Engage Influencers on Twitter:

  • Partner Up to Widen Your Reach

  • Communicate Your “Ask”

  • Make “Digital Eye Contact”

  • Continue the Conversation

  • Follow Up to Close the Loop

  • Build Relationships Before You Need Them

Social media is the most efficient way to build relationships with influencers and the most innovative one which is why not many business utilize this marketing tactic. Influencer Marketing focuses on key individuals (influencers) and their ability to influence mass followers. Influencer marketing involves marketing products and services to those who have a sway over the things other people buy. This market influence typically stems from an individual's expertise, popularity, or reputation. Marketing to an audience of influencers is similar to word of mouth marketing, but it doesn’t rely strictly on explicit recommendation.

Twitteratis have become important influencers because they are seen as authentic and have loyal followings. When a blogger recommends a product it seems more trustworthy than traditional advertising. By using influencers, companies can avoid much of the cynicism and skepticism that is directed at straight forward marketing messages.

This form of marketing is unique because it appeals to the needs of the influencer rather than the customer. Companies must give influencers respect and form open and organic relationships for the influencer to endorse a product. This might include giving the influencer access to a soon-to-be released product, or inviting the influencer to visit the company in person.

Why Influencer Marketing on Twitter?

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – Search engines like Google factor social media influence into page ranks.
  • Return on Investment (ROI) – On average every $1 spent on influencer marketing yields $6.50 back.
  • Trust – 90% of consumers trust peer recommendations whilst 33% trust advert.
  • Popularity – 35% of social media professionals say they have a mature influencer relationship program. An additional 51% are planning to develop one according to emarketer.

For the people who don’t know about you, Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
I am a Software Engineer by profession but a writer ( )by passion. Madly in love with SRK, I am as cliched as it can get. While my days are dull and boring and are spent writing code that isn’t really world-changing, it’s the nights that weave their magic on me. As the sun sets, I create stories, dream of traveling to places far and wide, and think of how I can change the world for good by one tiny blog post at a time. But then mornings come with a realization that traveling doesn’t earn money, world peace & gender equality are still myths and writing isn’t going to pay for my shopping sprees.

Every website has a story behind it. What was yours? What was the motivation behind starting this Blog?
I love how that question begins. I too believe that every website has a story. That’s why whenever I encounter a new blog, I make it a point to read the first post as it kind of spills that secret out in most cases.
I don’t have a fancy breath-taking story of how it began. But, I do have one. During the summer of 2007, while all my friends had joined fancy IT companies, I was still waiting for my date of joining with Infosys. Waiting gave way to writing as it had always been by stress buster. The blog was born as a means to blurt out everything I was feeling, including jealousy when my friends got their first pay-cheques while all I got was a mail informing a further delayed joining date. It was such a random act that frankly, I didn’t know I would even write a second blog post after creating the blog.

P.S. It’s been nine years now and I can’t imagine an alternate life without the blog.

Do you ever get stuck when writing a blog? What do you do then?
Okay, I do two things. First, I dig out travel memories, stare at the pictures and they invariably give me an exciting story to write.
Second, I open the newspaper and there’s always a piece of news that irritates me.
As my tagline says, anything that excites me or irritates me goes on the blog – So, that’s your answer here.

If there was one thing that you feel makes your blog stand out, what would that be?
I have been told that it is the way I begin my posts. Trust me, I have spent hours staring at a blank page, writing and re-writing a beginning at times. If I am not able to start well, I skip the post and don’t do it at all as I truly believe in ‘Well begun is half done’. Whether it is a travel tale, a review or a feminist rant, it has to establish that connect in the first couple of lines.

If you had to give three crazy advice to budding bloggers, what would that be?

  •  Be yourself in a world that’s constantly trying to change you. Collaborations or not, write what you are passionate about and do it with all your heart. SEO, Monetization and brand collaborations are just a small part of it and not the heart of the blog. Don’t forget that it’s all about the content you churn and the passion with which you do it.
  •  Blog because you have a passion for writing, not because of the perks it brings.
  •   Like in any other sphere of life, ethics will take you farther even though it might take time to get there. Shortcuts are not the key, effective writing is.

Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Yes, I do promote my blog though I don’t follow a promotional strategy as such except bullying friends to share my posts on their social channels. Jokes apart, I really don’t have a strategy other than religiously sharing them on my social channels after I publish.

What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of blogging?
Being able to paint a colourful picture using words of black and white is such a gratifying feeling in itself. And it magnifies many folds when someone comes back and mentions how your writing made an impact on them. Or when people remember you by the name of your blog – that’s a precious feeling.

And Influencer Marketing – what it holds for bloggers?
Influencer Marketing is coming up in a huge way and it brings a lot of benefits to bloggers and social media influencers. It might provide perks, monetary or otherwise and make bloggers popular. It feels good that brands are finally recognizing the powerhouse that bloggers are and paying them their due share.

Engaging in influencer marketing is fruitful but most of the bloggers feel there are some characteristic problems while engaging with brands. How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?
So far, the experience has been a positive one and I hope it remains the same. I choose the brands very carefully and it’s not always about the money or the perks. Invariably, my brand collaboration posts have a personal aspect to them and if I don’t connect with a brand in that manner, I won’t sign up for the assignment. Following this simple thumb rule has made it very easy for me to do the work I want to do and skip the rest. I can be choosy here as it’s my blog and I decide what goes on it.
As far as the problems are concerned, I think all bloggers agree on the fact that start-ups are a point of concern for the community as they don’t want to pay for the content they need from us, all in good faith.
Another emerging problem area is the brands going behind numbers instead of actual engagement and the fact that it’s getting more and more enticing to fall prey to the concept of buying followers. A profession as pure as writing is losing ethics because brands need the numbers and are hardly bothered about content if the statistics look great.

1. Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog? And how did you first get into blogging?
Hello Readers, myself Ankit Chugh from Delhi and I run a blog named Review Center India. I’ve been into blogging niche for 9 years now, and I shifted to full-time blogging a year back after realizing the real potential of blogging. My blogging journey started from my 2nd job where I hardly used to get any work. But I had the knowledge the share but was not having any platform for doing so.
So, I started a free blog at in 2007 and created an engineering blog as I wanted to share what I learned. It started getting a good response, so after a year I shifted to a custom domain. That engineering blog is still operational, but I hardly work on it now.
My main blog i.e. Review Center India, I started that on 2012, after losing a big blogging contest. Upon losing, I realized, either you go big or go home. That’s when I started to create a blog which may help and impact buying decision of people, and I started writing product reviews of appliances which have never been reviewed before. I started reviewing many home appliances, and the result was tremendous. Since then I expanded my portfolio to gadgets too and things are going well since then.

2. Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?
Failures in life and professions have impacted me most. I do get influenced by some people as well, but I’ll prefer not to take the name of any of them.

3. How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
Competition keeps me motivated. All are growing at a good pace in blogging, and if you do not keep up with the pace, you’ll end up losing the race. Along with staying motivated, one needs to upgrade too with time. If there are 100 blogs, there are 100 ideas, and everyone should try to serve the content on those in a different manner.
Rise with an idea, which is unique from others, and you’ll get a good response for it. Just believe in yourself and what you do.

4. What is the biggest difference in your life post-blogging?
Life has been way smoother now than before. But nothing should be taken-for-granted. That mistake I already did when I used to do a job. Hence, I never take blogging for granted. If you call yourself a blogger or an influencer, work on increasing your reach and prepare a statistics.
Be creative, stay original and success will come to you.

5. A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog or doing brand tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog or doing brand
Blogging was once an easy way to earn money when you didn’t have any competition at all. Nowadays, daily 100s of blogs born and 100s of them die. Blogging is not all about making money, it’s more than that. A blog represents your own opinion for which you’re responsible. A blog is not a newspaper, where you may keep publishing news and call yourself a blogger. A blog is where you publish an opinion about anything, whether it’s a product, current affairs or anything which you came across. If you really want something good out of this interview, then take this
Publish original content daily/weekly, and if you’re a new blogger, don’t publish content which is being covered by all. Do some homework on topics you want to write on and publish unique content on it. Original content is that powerful that even just 50 posts can give you the handsome amount, or even 1000 non-unique post might pay you none.
If blogging is not your cup of tea, and you have a good social reach, then you should shift to influencer marketing. A blogger can do influencer marketing and blogging both, but if that is not applicable to you, working for brands via a marketplace like Blogmint, can be very beneficial for you. But Blogmint can you help you only if you help yourself i.e. work on your social reach, be creative and serve your social following with something new daily.

6. How important is the role of influencers in brand promotions? How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?
Influencers nowadays play key roles in brand promotions, and if you think, that influencer marketing is nothing or dying, then you didn’t have realized the potential of it yet. I have done many campaigns with Blogmint, with some digital agencies and even directly with brands. The biggest benefit you get to working with a big marketplace like Blogmint is you get payments on time, and with others, I always had to wait for 15-30 days or more. Plus, Blogmint is the biggest marketplace, which brands are aware of now. You just cannot approach every brand, but brands now do approach Blogmint for various kind of campaign.

7. Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I do promote my social page posts occasionally to increase the reach of them. Especially when it’s of any campaign, I do run Facebook ads for increasing reach of the article and drive more traffic to my site. This way, I give a better ROI to the brand for whom I am doing a campaign. Facebook ads are the best and cheapest way to promote. Plus I also engage in guest posting and share blog posts written by me on all my social, personal and professional channels. Try to diversify your reach, like my articles are also published on ACE Dialogue magazine (by CEAMA) which gives me a targeted exposure and brands recognize me quickly.

Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog? And how did you first get into blogging?
Hi Guys, I am really excited as this is my first interview. I am a Lifestyle Blogger and social media influencer. Amateur Chef and a die-hard cricket fan. I am keen to meet wonderful people. I am a very optimistic and dedicated person who is always eager to share the responsibilities. My favourite past time is reading ( fictions and real life stories ). I started blogging 2years ago, I blog about my myriad experiences at . Its called “My Life Experiences” I cover Food, Fashion, Lifestyle, Technology, Health & Fitness. As you can see I have diversified profile. Well Blogging just happened by chance I never thought I will be a blogger or reach greater heights in blogging. It is just my passion to write and that’s how it got me into it. Let me tell you my story, I used to write in my personal diary and keep it to myself, One day I showed it to my friends, they really liked it and told to start writing on our intranet server. I received lots of comments there being closed group it would mean only certain set of people would be my readers. My friends told why not you start a blog on wordpress so that it reaches global audience and everyone knows about it. And that’s how the blogging “keeda” started.

What do you think is the best service a blogger can provide to his readers?
Blogger can give his unbiased opinions and views to his reader’s .It is one platform where you are directly connected with your readers on daily basis. He is some who can give his right opinion unlike other media. This is the best thing I love about blogging you are directly in touch with your readers.

What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?
Remember Content is King. Only good content will get you more traffic to your blog. You don’t have to rely on any other thing. If you have good content obviously you will get more readers and in turn it will be more sharing and that’s how you get more traffic.

Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?
There are many bloggers whom I admire a lot and due to which it has impacted me most. To name a few Archana Kapoor, Arvind Passey & Sakshi Nanda. They have impeccable style and their writing inspires me very much.  It’s all how you want to take it ahead.

How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
The act of writing is sharing a part of your soul with the world. You don’t write because you want to say something, you write because you have something to say. Writing is my passion. Use your passion to fuel your writing.

What is the biggest difference in your life post-blogging?
It gave me courage to face the world and post blogging it has been a roller coaster ride. Meeting new people, connecting with like minded individuals you get to learn a lot. It’s a new learning phase in my life and I am still learning to become a good writer.

How active are you on a weekly basis? How often do you communicate with your followers?
I blog once a week and post motivational and inspiration quotes every Monday to keep communicating with my followers on facebook, twitter and instagram. I am very much connected with my followers and I get same love from them when I see their comments on my blog.

A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for those people who are interested in making money from the blog or doing brand collaborations?
Well I would say it not a cakewalk. Dont come in blogging if you think its shortcut to earn money. Its not easy to make it . As I said  earlier,Content is the ultimate King. Focus on quality writing to create a long lasting impression.Make your blog content Unique, bring creativity then money will follow automatically.

How important is the role of influencers in brand promotions? How is your experience of engaging with brands and problems, if any?
Influencer is someone who has power to influence on your thoughts or purchase decisions. It plays a very important role in brand promotions. I have been engaged with many brands for promotions, from my experience I can say you need to know your followers and serve them a dish well prepared. For example:Recently I did Father’s day promotion, initially i started my own without sponsored i mean i was supposed to give all prizes and seeing the trend two brands approached me and they were on board. The time frame is what clicked for me. I started off full week starting from Tuesday , that time no brands were promoting . I did from Twitter promotion then Facebook so alternative with new flyers daily and new captions so it gets attractive for readers to participate. You won’t believe I got overwhelming response more than 109 entries and 99 times shared on Facebook.

Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Yes I promote my blog on all social media platforms be it twitter, facebook, instagram.
I am more comfortable on Twitter and Facebook as it is easy to understand and you can target audience as per your selective criteria such as  gender, age, country, city, etc But it doesn’t guarantee you more traffic until and unless you have unique content that attracts readers to open your blog post.

Can you tell us about few sources from where you get products for review on your site?
Mostly I am directly connected with Brands and PR also bloggers networking platforms for product reviews. But I believe over the years when you write good content brands will directly contact you for product reviews.
